SOCIAL WORKER/CLINICIAN
Full-Time Position
Salary Range: $60,336.22 – $66,458.30
LOCATION: The George Hull Centre:
– Libby’s Place Residential Program
– Community Clinic
– Day Treatment Program
The George Hull Centre is seeking an experienced social worker to join our multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a skilled professional to provide comprehensive clinical services to children, youth and their families at Libby’s Place.
In addition, the successful candidate will provide clinical services to clients from the George Hull Centre’s Community Clinic and the Day Treatment Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) from a university of recognized standing with a minimum of 2 years experience post-graduation. Certification with the Ontario College of Social Workers (or equivalent). Post-graduate supervised experience in children’s mental health, leading to a demonstrated ability in clinical assessment and treatment. Family therapy experience and expertise is essential. Also required is a broad knowledge of community resources for children and youth and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with multiple service providers in coordinating and planning services. Group therapy skills (or an interest in developing these skills) would be an asset.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
–To provide clinical assessment, treatment, consultation and service coordination for youth and their families in the Centre’s Libby’s Place Residential Program, Day Treatment Program, and Community Clinic.
–To provide discharge planning for youth leaving the programs
–To provide group and individual treatment as required by programs;
–To liaise with centralized intake and conduct residential intake meetings
–To collaborate and work effectively with other professionals both internally and externally in planning and coordinating services for children and their families;
–To undertake ongoing personal professional development.
HOURS: Full-time position including flexible hours and some evening work
