Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Student Conduct, the Student Conduct Coordinator is a member of the Residence Life team within Student Affairs. This position supports students’ development during a critical and transformative time through providing accurate and timely administrative expertise in support of the Residence Code of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director, and Residence Life colleagues to ensure timely and accurate administration of Residence Code of Conduct cases, including reviewing all residence incident reports and identifying the level and type of follow-up required in accordance with policy, set up meetings and answer student questions, escalating when appropriate.
  • Work with the Director, Residence Life and Manager, Student Conduct to ensure timely and accurate administration of the Code of Student Conduct cases, including reviewing Code of Student conduct inquiries, and refer or advance inquiry. Work with the Office of the Vice Provost, Student Affairs to coordinate responses to inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate input of data to enable effective tracking, measurement and reporting of key performance indicators and/or metrics, as required.
  • Support operational decision-making and transparent compliance to both the Code of Student Conduct and Residence Code of Conduct by coordinating all aspects of data maintenance, training, modification associated with the policy administration.
  • Provide logistical and administrative assistance in the development and delivery of training programs and sessions for student leaders and professional staff members, such as printing materials, booking rooms, and ordering catering.

Note Qualifications

Business Office Administration program, plus three to five years’ administrative experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment (or equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Training in database management, including reporting is required. Effective communication skills are vital to this role. Incumbent must be adaptable to change and able to problem solve. Customer service skills are essential to this role in responding to the needs of stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
