Description
This position works for the Thrift Store Manager. You must be able to provide support for the day to day operations of our Ellis Street Location while communicating to the Manager with ideas, and issues as they arise. Supervision and direction of employees is required.
Hours:
- 40 hours per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In Conjunction with the manager directs day to day operations of the Ellis Street Thrift Store.
- Monitors, performance, Health and Safety, and employees. Provides feedback to Manager
- Ensures attractiveness through Tidy Maintenance and merchandising of salesfloor, and window displays.
- Monitors loss prevention, and reports to manager.
- Oversees, and participates in Building maintenance, such as cleaning, coordinates, and communicates Maintenance issues to Our Maintenance person.
- Will have opening and closing duties as they relate to sales, and cash balancing
- Sorting and pricing of merchandise as required
- Ensure Safe work practices when using all equipment
- Monitors needs for forms and equipment to be in stock. Informs Manager
- Other Duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 Education
Experience:
- 1-2 years successful related experience, including retail sales and supervision.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Related Courses an asset
- Prior successful experience will be considered
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- Good Organizational skills.
- Multi tasker
- Good knowledge of merchandising, customer service and sales targets.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
- The job requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, bending and lifting. You would be required to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
