Warehouse Manager – 2021-0030
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Logistics Director, the Warehouse Manager ensures a smooth operation of the warehouse. He is responsible for the receiving, raw materials and shipping of distributed products. He also coordinates the proper management of the inventory for the Cheese Coop and supports the Production department in its products requirements and internal and external storage.
The manager ensures the supervision of warehouse employees and order processing. They are responsible for the implementation the continuous progress process and see to the training of his staff to reach and maintain the identified productivity levels. They collaborate closely with customer service with the goal of providing high levels of client satisfaction while respecting health and security regulations at the workplace, food safety, sanitation and quality requirements; all while maintaining a good working environment.
MAIN TASKS
Revise and define key performance indicators linked to the warehouse and distribution (productivity, lines/workers, hours/kilos per day, etc.)
Manage all daily operations of the warehouse, including orders, shipments, receiving and shelf setup, in order to have an accurate inventory
Optimize and organize the inventory management system and be responsible for the account of inventories
Ensure a rigorous monitoring of inventories, orders and that product rotation is done according to established standards (FIFO)
Manage the operations’ coordination in collaboration with the Production, Customer Service and Distribution departments to insure a proper coordination, so our customers are always well-served
Collaborate with the Production department to ensure that all requirement stock levels are in line with the Production department requirements, according to the levels of inventory and evaluated previsions;
Respect and instill the respect of the rules established in Health and safety, in hygiene, in sanitation and food handling at all times
Manage the maintenance and inspection of handling and storage equipment
Perform all other related duties request by the Logistics Director
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
College degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations Management, or any other relevant combination of education and experience
Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar position (in shipping and warehouse management), warehousing and shipping strategic and operational day to day management and activities coordination.
Minimum of three years staff supervision and team management experience
Experience with WMS an asset
Relevant experience and training in continuous improvement (asset)
Experience in the food industry, with awareness of food safety (asset)
Demonstrate superior sense of health and safety workplace compliance as well as the sanitation practices in place
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
Be able to lift up items that may weigh over 20 kg
Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clear driver record
Competency in IT project management and analysis of key data (costs, performance key indictors)
Be meticulous and detail-oriented
Possess a sense of responsibility, self-reliance and resourcefulness
Be versatile, flexible and reliable
Have an open mind and be able to adapt to changes in a fast pace environment
Ability to work within a team

Status: Permanent Full Time
Work Schedule: Day, evening, week ends and on call on a rotational basis with the Logistics Team.
