Position:
The position of Administrative Assistant: Programs and Services is a Category 5 position under the Support Staff Collective Agreement responsible and accountable to the Assistant Executive Director.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic work environment and will need to be adaptable to changing and challenging work assignments. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Working as part of the Programs and Services Team
- Assisting and supporting the work of administrative staff officers
- Providing office support activities, including but not limited to maintaining minutes, preparing and proofing agendas, presentations and other documents, scheduling and arranging meeting logistics, file management, letter writing, and organizing and prioritizing correspondence
- Screening calls, e-mails, and social media contact, assisting with and directing inquiries
- Liaising with vendors and outside agencies
- Assisting with overflow work from other team areas and filling in for the receptionist as required.
- Other duties as assigned

Academic
The successful candidate should have successfully completed a program of study in business/office administration or equivalent. Extensive software skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with use of website and social media, knowledge of SharePoint and LaserFiche will be considered assets. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
