Description
Assist with The Willows Family Life Centre children & youth programming and summer outreach program for children.
HOURS:
- 30 hours/week.
- 9 weeks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work cooperatively with the staff of The Willows Family Life Centre to promote our services within the Langley community focused on children and youth programming.
- Engage with program participants in ways that represent our values of dignity, service, stewardship, and hope.
- Build relationships in the community alongside our Youth Coordinator and Community Services Worker through weekly events and themed activities.
- Assist with planning, preparation of materials, games, and activities along with the implementation of a 7-week summer outreach program for children.
- Manage registrations of program participants and engage in follow-up, promoting the Family Life Centre’s fall programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:
- Completed 1-3 years of high school and be between the ages of 15-30.
- First Aid Training will be an asset.
- Must have a clear and current Criminal Record Check.
Experience:
- Prior experience working with children and activity planning will be an asset.
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background check consent
- A clear vulnerable sector screening
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
