Description
The Christmas Kettle Scheduler plays a key role in the success of this annual fundraiser.
HOURS:
- 2-Temporary Part Time: 25 hours work per week
- Schedules will fluctuate and flexibility will be required
- October 4, 2021 – December 24, 2021
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May assist in the recruitment of Kettle Workers (employees and volunteers), assisting with orientation, performance management, discipline and payroll processing
- Coordinates the schedule for kettle staff, and responds to emergency absences, etc.
- Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with kettle sites, addressing conflicts/issues as they arise
- Delivers and picks-up kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donations
- Hosts at the kettle, as required, to ensure necessary coverage for breaks, etc.
- May assume responsibility for coordinating kettle counters and/or overseeing the counting
- Record statistical data and prepare weekly timesheets, as required, for local/divisional/territorial offices
- Performs other duties as assigned
NOTE: Not all incumbents perform all of the duties described above but perform a similar range of duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs. Should also have completed high school, plus specialized courses of up to six (6) months
Experience:
- The successful candidate must have at least one-year prior related experience, including life skills, computer competency, and leadership skills
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background check consent
- A clear vulnerable sector screening
- Clean drivers abstract
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
